This Isn't Very Interesting

Right now, in case you are wondering, I am in Big Baby's school trying to recuperate from a minor case of heat exhaustion. I swear, it's 90 degrees out there and I walked from the insurance office through the thick, inescapable heat to use this stupid machine.
I should be doing school right now but I like to think of blogging as typing class. I would rather do this than answer hard questions about what I read in Macbeth or taking a grammar test on verbals or navigating through the nebulous of my theology book that has so much potential for being interesting since it's about Job. I am looking forward to History, though, since that is my favorite subject but I'm "saving the rest for later".
Also, in case you were wondering, the insurance office previously mentioned is where I work! It's a Farmers Insurance office run by Agent J who also happens to be my neighbor! I don't sell insurance or anything; I file important documents, stuff envelopes, put together birthday cards, sometimes I make new files, and I keep the file tabs from fraying with plastic, sticky film. Hey, it's a job O.K.??
Anyway, maybe that should be all for now. I have nothing else to say at the moment. I could tell you what I'm wearing right now and what I had for lunch but that would be a waste of both our times.
Ta ta for now, all you lovely people!

A Normal Sunny Day

Thank you, dear friends for using up your precious time to read my gibberish. Aw shucks, you guys are so cool!
Today was very busy. Big Baby and I have been getting to bed waaay too late so we slept in this morning and after I wrote that night's dream down in my dream journal, I spent the morning with the latest CCM magazine. Big Baby finally rolled out of bed at 10:00am, mumbling curses and spells against me for getting her up "so early". To put her back in a good mood, I had her cook me breakfast. Sausage, eggs (w/ketchup!), and one leftover pancake reheated in the microwave-slathered with red currant jelly to cover the green fuzz.
While she (B.B.) was washing the dishes, I set my brain to school. In the middle of grammar, J-uh-Juh and Mad Dog came over to mow the lawn and stuff.
Mad Dog ended up helping us wash the Focus in 90 degree weather. The carpenter ants woke up and terrorized us for the rest of the afternoon.
After Mad Dog left, J-uh-Juh helped us wax the car and boy does it look sexy! The carpenter ants were slamming into it because they saw the sky reflected in the mirror-like shine. It probably doesn't look as nice as it would if The Misplaced Texas Android did it but who cares.
Anyway, that evening I added to my sunburn and went to see Mad Dog's baseball game. It was a close one but no cigar. By the way, I think Mad Dog is one of the best players on his team and I'm not saying this because he or one of his family members might read this.
EEEK! THE CARPENTER ANTS ARE COMING IN! THEY'VE BREACHED THE WALLS! SEND IN MORE FLYSWATTERS!
Now Big Baby is shoving bamboo shoots up my toenails because I'm not letting her check my e-mail. Not really. She's crying for two reasons.
1) I'm so mean
2) She wants to check her e-mail
Anyway, I have showered and am quite content. I think I'll continue my toilette and floss/brush my teeth and pick my toes. Then I think I'll lay in bed and read the Pickwick Papers until Big Baby comes in for my nightly beating-39 lashes with a wet noodle.
Until next time, may your ice tea never weaken.

Dairy Products And Other Mish Mash

It is late afternoon on the most gorgeous day that I have seen all year.
Big Baby opened her presents before Faahthah left for work. Lady and Faahthah bought her a nice, silver bracelet watch. I got her a brown marbled pottery mug with blue dragonflies painted on it. That's her thing is dragonflies. I also ordered from Azure Standard a box of Panda licorice chews. Black. And I'm thinkin' of giving her a certain cd that has yet to arrive in the mail. I wont say who the artist is because she might read this before it arrives. There were tons of people who sent her wheelbarrow loads of birthday cards. But none of them contained money. Well, they did but after they got past me they didn't. He he.
Tomorrow is Jan The One Who Works With Big Baby's birthday. I'm making her some I think their called Cheddar Pennies. She likes cheese.
I like cheese too but I think my favorite dairy product is ice cream. Tin Roof Sunday. I have to be careful with dairy products though because the medication I'm takin' doesn't do its job if any dairy stuff is consumed within 2 hours before or after I take it. What a drag. But there are millions of people who have never tasted dairy products let alone shared in the euphoric feeling of cool, sweet ice cream pirouetting across their tongues and slipping, like the gauzy ending of a wonderful dream, down their throats with the grace and virtue that a queen can only dream of possessing.
Wow where did that come from?

Words On the Black Hole

Today is Big Baby's birthday. She's no longer a teenager. I had to admire how viciously she fought to cling to the last hours of those funky years.
I also am nearing the ever-widening black hole at the end of the tunnel of light. The dark hole full of Unknowns and Expectations. In other words, Adulthood. What a scary word. It brings a dark fog to my brain and a tear to my eye. I guess everyone has to grow up someday. Peter Pan, I love you!! Keep coming to my window!

The Beginning

It stopped raining for a few minutes today and I was reminded that the sky is blue and not really white. There are lots of different things in nature that can trick us. Like when it's dark, the sky is still blue; it does not turn black. C.S. Lewis, in "Perelandra", wrote about the feeling you get when you see what you think is a gross bug and it makes you repulsed until you realize it's just a leaf and, as a leaf, you see that it is very beautiful. How very true. I think he had a pretty good idea about the mind of man.
I'm sorry, dear Reader, for being so boring. I'm boring myself typing such nonsense. I'm afraid I'm not in a very entertaining mood right now. What a dull begining to what I thought would be a fun and mentally aerobic pastime.
More next time. More dry stuff? Who knows.

Introduction

I am stepping into the wide expanse of Blogging with thin, little legs that shake a little with the realization that I can write anything I want. Anything.
I just hope I can use this potentially selfish tool to speak life and give glory to God like how Calvin and Michele have with theirs.
I also hope that I don't forget my password or any other important information and be forever cut off from posting any more. I have already forgotten my password to get into Ted Dekker's little website club but I got over that.
Ok, well...here we go.
